The Role:
As our Domain Data Architect, you will spearhead the technological architecture that underpins our current platform and chart the course for the future, including AI and machine learning integration. You will dive into the intricacies of our system to understand how each component ties together, ensuring the seamless delivery of data and insights to our business partners and consumers. Daily collaboration with Data Engineering, Data Science, Data Visualization, and Data Governance teams will be needed to foster complete solutions. You will engage with peers across IT to communicate touchpoints, integrations, processes, and timelines within the Data & Analytics Platform and other systems.
This position is remote and will report into Lovesac Corporate HUB based in Stamford, CT. Candidates must fully reside in the United States at all times during employment and should have the ability to travel as needed.
Summary of Key Job Responsibilities:
- Develop data & analytics architecture principles, best practices, processes, and standards in alignment with the enterprise IT framework.
- Create comprehensive documentation for analytical data, information, integration, and system architectures, covering conceptual, logical, and physical aspects.
- Set an architecture direction aligned with business and IT strategy and goals, managing current/target state, architecture decisions, common frameworks, and components.
- Maintain, evolve, and iterate the application portfolio lifecycle for applications in collaboration with IT and Enterprise Architecture leadership.
- Advise on tool selection, design patterns, scoping, estimation, technical debt remediation, and executing proof of concepts to validate tool/solution fit.
- Engage with Data Engineering, Data Science, Data Visualization, and Data Governance teams to guide data pipeline and database design using modern data engineering tools and techniques.
- Balance technical solution capabilities with ongoing costs, evaluating the total cost of ownership.
- Participate in the Architecture Review Board to ensure architecture quality and compliance.
- Set an architecture direction and roadmap aligned with business and IT goals and enterprise architecture principles.
- Lead efforts to develop and maintain architectural assets, including models, documentation, and integration specifications.
- Develop cross-functional knowledge and skills, guiding technology teams to ensure solutions adhere to standards.
- Demonstrate innovation and initiative, consistently improving products and processes while providing hands-on assistance where needed.
- Stay informed about new technologies, approaches, and challenges in Data, Business Intelligence, and AI/Machine Learning.
- Interact with functional and technical groups, understanding business needs, providing oversight, evaluating architectural options, and making recommendations that yield analytic business value.
- Support the development of end-user security authorizations by collaborating with the end-user security authorization administration group.
- Responsible to meet or exceed all goals and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Perform any other duties as requested by management.
