We're hiring for a Tax Senior - Private Client Services (PCS)for our East Hanover, NJ office. The Private Client Services(PCS) Tax Practice focuses on tax business planning, advisory & compliance services for ultra-wealthy families as well as multi-general wealth planning. The group specializes in the taxation of gifts, trusts, estates, foundations, closely held entities and individual returns. Responsibilities include and are not limited to the following:

  • Prepares intermediate to advanced level returns and reviews basic tax returns related to PCSclients
  • Possesses advanced technical knowledge of accounting standards and reporting standards in researching, completing and reviewing technical areas
  • Addresses questions on technical accounting matters from team members and upper level client management
  • Performs a detailed review of team's workflow and monitors tasks to ensure they are assigned and completed on a timely basis
  • Manages multiple assignments inside an engagement
  • Communicates with Partner, Manager and/or Supervising Senior on work status and client issues that arise
  • Advanced knowledge of applicable accounting software (e.g. ProSystem Engagement, Tax, etc.)
  • Participates in planning and execution of client engagement in collaboration with the Manager and/or Partner on the job
  • Identifies opportunities to leverage staff including designing staffing structure of engagement
  • Leads small to medium sized assignments with finalized document and report requiring minimal change upon review
  • Trains and mentors lower level staff
  • Takes a lead role in client and team meetings and contributes new ideas and strategic initiatives

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with a preferred field in Accounting
  • 3+ years of relevant work and industry experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Works independently and also works well with others

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA License or on track to obtain
  • Master's degree in Taxation or Accounting
  • Software Experience - CCH ProSystem, Microsoft Office 365
