To support our North American team, we are looking for a Structural Engineer (Offshore Wind) to join us. You will be working on exciting infrastructure projects across the Offshore Wind market sectors, along with our highly professional team that provides technical expertise, design leadership, project management, and specialized engineering expertise.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Work on the design and analysis of primary steel (i.e. foundations such as steel monopile, steel jacket) and secondary steel components for offshore wind turbines, offshore electrical substations and port facilities in support of all phases of the project lifecycle, including planning, design, construction, operation and decommissioning
  • Produce engineering calculations, designs, and details per project requirements and the latest industry codes and standards
  • Prepare design deliverable documents and handle quality control validation of detailed calculations, design drawings, and specifications
  • Visit site and client offices as required by the project (10 percent of job responsibilities may take place out of the office)
  • Have frequent in-person and virtual interfaces with the Project Director, Project Manager, design team, BIM/CADD team, etc.

On top of that, you will:

  • Hold an M.S. or higher degree in Structural Engineering, along with 5 to 10 years of experience working as a structural engineer focusing on steel analysis and design
  • Possess a Professional Engineering Licensure (P.E.) or can obtain the same within 12 months of employment
  • Be familiar with offshore codes (API, DNVGL, ISO, etc.) and have offshore wind foundation primary and secondary steel design and analysis experience
  • Have experience with structural dynamics, numerical modeling, 3D finite element analysis, integrated load analyses, monopile design, steel jacket design, fatigue analysis, design of offshore structures, industry software and program languages (e.g. STAAD Pro, SAP, ROBOT, SACS, SESAM, BLADED, SQL, Matlab, Python)
  • Be experienced in interfacing with other discipline specialists (structural, geotechnical, steel, concrete, electrical, mechanical, BIM, CADD, etc.)

Base compensation: $79,000 to $113,000 for New York location only. Actual compensation is subject to variations due to education, experience, skill set, and location.
