AES Clean Energy is looking for a Development Analyst to join the team.

The Development Analyst will provide support to developers in the management of solar project development from point of identified project to start of construction. Provide support to origination team, finance team and construction management team to ensure team coordination. May participate in project kickoff meetings and gather needed data to initiate project. Support construction Project Managers in high quality project delivery. Apply critical thinking needed to communicate and influence employees at all levels regarding project risks, opportunities, and recommended action. Provide support and analysis for Development Pipeline Reporting. Assist with diligence efforts and preparing input sheets.

This role is located in New York and is hybrid. National travel would be part of the requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain project schedule and budget creation for development pipeline.
  • Identify and clearly articulate project risks and opportunities.
  • Coordinate site diligence
  • Contribute to system designs by collaborating with various engineering support teams
  • Support due diligence efforts for prospective project M&A opportunities

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate experience, preferably in geography, engineering, environmental sciences, business, communications, or related field.
  • 1-3 years experience (including internships) in either sales, project management, engineering, or development in renewable energy or related field
  • Passion for renewable energy development
  • Detail orientated and organised person.

The expected salary for this position, at commencement of employment, is between $65,000 and $80,750/Annual; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements such as annual bonus, in addition to a full range of medical, dental, vision, life, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if a candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
