Job Description

As a Logistics Analyst your goal is to execute logistics plans for the delivery and distribution of finished products and ensure product arrives complete, on time, and in a cost effective manner. You'll maintain appropriate records, prepare reports, and coordinate logistics activities with internal and external customers.

You will do this by:

  • Providing frontline support for daily logistics operations, resolving issues and ensuring on time delivery of products
  • Participating in developing and implementing logistics plans affecting the delivery and distribution of finished products
  • Identifying and analyzing root causes of issues and working with logistics partners to develop solutions and performance improvement measures
  • Cultivating relationships with other departments to understand their customers needs and propose ideas to exceed expectations
  • Documenting and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) as needed
  • Maintaining department shipment data and records, runs monthly report, identifies trends and opportunities for cost savings
  • Coordinating with suppliers to ensure performance and cost requirements are executed

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related field OR equivalent education and experience

  • At least one, with three or more preferred, years experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain related field

  • Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel

Additional Knowledge & Skills:

  • Comprehensive experience with Microsoft office suite of products, Google Applications, and other software associated with assigned work

  • Well-developed knowledge of ERP systems like SAP

  • Well-developed ability to meet deadlines and organize and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, detail oriented

  • Solid knowledge of the principles of transportation logistics

  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills to communicate and interact with diverse groups of people

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • % of Travel: minimal, as needed
