The anticipated salary range for this role is between $154,000.00and $173,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. The role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive award. In addition to cash compensation, SMBC offers a competitive portfolio of benefits to its employees.

Role Description

Support users with day-to-day operations of market data applications and services. Monitor the function of data feeds into business systems and resolve any incidents. Advise business units on best platforms and services to meet operational objectives.

Role Objectives: Delivery

Oversee the day-to-day operation of market data applications and services across the firm. Monitor reporting of any service incidents and manage response to outages. Architect solutions for business units recommending the best platforms and services to meet operational objectives and lead implementation with current processes. Develop tools and processes for data exchange with market platforms and current business systems. Analyze the performance of market data systems to ensure proper utilization and ensure results are meeting key performance indicators.

Role Objectives: Interpersonal

Demonstrate close relationship with business team leaders to support the adoption and integration of market data services into their processes. Collaborate with development and database administrators to plan data and application integrations and build processes to pull in market data. Engage with business unit leaders to provide strategic guidance for platform utilization. Maintain close ties with third party counterparts at data platforms to serve as a resource for new offerings and incident response.

Role Objectives: Expertise

Demonstrate advanced knowledge of the features and operation of implemented data platforms to facilitate exceptional high-level user support and guidance. Display significant expertise in scripting tools and APIs needed to monitor the data feeds and integrate with other data resources. Possess an authoritative perspective of the various platforms available on the market and the types of services offered. Show expert understanding of the types and usage of data needed by the firm to enable better planning of platform usage and data integrations.
