Responsibilities |
- Build strong mentorship relationship with assigned student (mentees) to foster trust, communication, and motivation.(Leadership, Communication)
- Identify potential barriers to student success, such as academic difficulties, financial issues, or personal challenges and work with the Retention Specialist to address these obstacles.(Critical Thinking, Teamwork, Communication)
- Connect students with campus resources and services, such as tutoring, counseling, financial aid, and career counseling.(Critical Thinking, Communication)
- Organize and facilitate group activities.(Leadership, Critical Thinking, Communication)
- Promote retention initiatives, programs, and resources to increase mentees engagement, persistence, and success.(Critical Thinking, Communication)
- Attend school events with mentees.(Leadership)
- Other related duties as assigned such as attend family events, FYI, orientation, and school events
