Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking an Associate Director Supervisor for the Douglass Residential College.

Among the key duties of this position are the following:
  • Provides independent direction, advancement, management, and supervision of personnel in the BOLD Center for leadership, career and personal development for Douglass women.
  • Serves as the lead fundraiser for the BOLD Center in collaboration with the Development Office.
  • Provides cutting-edge programs for Douglass students' professional and career development.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience
  • Master's degree in Women and Gender Studies, Sociology, higher education leadership, or related area or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certifications/Licenses
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of relationship development, mentoring, program design and execution, coordination, organization, facilitation, and report analysis/writing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication is essential.
  • The ability to present to large audiences of students, parents, alumnae and the public.
  • Must work independently within broadly defined work objectives.
  • Candidate must demonstrate knowledge and experience of leadership and student programing at an educational institution.
  • Have demonstrated success in working with highly diverse populations and must be knowledgeable about the challenges and issues facing underrepresented students, diverse populations, women, etc.
  • Must be a leader with long and effective independent experience in leadership, team building, vision for advancement, and experience with external stakeholders such as alumnae, donors, industry partners, excellent mentoring of and commitment to Douglass students, and program development and advancement
