POSITION AVAILABLE: Warehouse Manager


JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking an experienced Warehouse General Manager to oversee our new distribution center in New York City. The General Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of warehouse operations, ensuring efficient processes, and maintaining high standards of logistics management. The ideal candidate would bring local experience and knowledge of the challenges facing operations in NYC metropolitan area. The distribution center will support a direct-to-consumer web portal allowing the residents of New York City to purchase the approved trash and recycling containers.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage daily operations of the warehouse, including inventory management, order fulfillment, logistics, and supply chain efficiencies.
  • Staff, train, evaluate and develop team members.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve overall efficiency in the warehouse.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Liaise with the manufacturing location and other stakeholders to ensure seamless operations and timely distribution of containers.
  • Leverage technology to enhance logistical processes and provide real-time data analytics for better decision-making.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in warehouse management or a similar role, with a proven track record of operational success.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Experience in NYC area handling end-consumer deliveries (preferred)
  • Familiarity with Salesforce Field Service software (preferred)
