Hourly Rate of Pay $31


The purpose of the ACCOUNTING and HR COORDINATOR is to assist Accounting and Human Resources in the overall administration of the departments function.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Generates accounting statements and reports.
  • Research cash receipts, coding and posting of receipts.
  • Prepares daily bank deposit.
  • Researches and applies unallocated cash.
  • Organizes and maintains up to date financial records.
  • Provides monthly financial and management reports.
  • Maintains telephone and personal contact with staff and vendors on receivable matters as directed by manager.
  • Reads, uses and is familiar with computer systems manuals and procedures, maintains and updates procedural manuals as needed.
  • Operates office equipment including personal computer, copiers, fax machines and 10-key calculator.
  • Organizes and maintains retention files for required period of time.
  • Assists in financial management and analysis, as requested.
  • Assist the Director of HR in recruitment process inclusive of posting and updating career opportunities; screening resumes and candidates; scheduling interviews with leaders and department heads.
  • Maintain and update bulletin boards in all associate areas and HR bulletin board.
  • Assist with associate relations events and recognition, as needed, e.g. Associate of the Month program, Associate Anniversary Awards program, etc.
  • Maintains regular attendance and is consistently on time.
  • Maintains high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include compliance with the dress code.
  • Performs any other duties as requested by supervisors.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; and 1-2 years related experience in accounting; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to write reports and correspondence.
  • Must be able to keep information confidential.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Proficient at MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment normally entails the following:

*Indoor work environment

*Minimal to moderate noise levels consistent with hotel environment

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

During the course of performing the physical demands of this position, associates are expected to observe and adhere to safety and security procedures, promoting a safe work environment.

The physical activity normally entails a typical office and hotel environment.

Position is expected to:

* Sit more than 2/3 of the time
