PLI is searching for a professional to fill the role of Billing Coordinator (responsibilities and qualifications are described below). The Billing Coordinator is responsible for helping PLI maintain accurate accounts receivables records and a consistent cash flow, while delivering a high-level of customer service and billing support to PLI's expansive customer base of attorneys and business professionals. The Billing Coordinator will accomplish this by fostering excellent relationships with PLI's customers, monitoring and following up on unpaid balances for aging receivables, providing support to customers with billing inquiries and proposing adjustments to accounts when needed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Correspond with customers regarding the status of their account; respond to customer inquiries regarding invoices, statements and refunds received.
  • Review customer account transactions for accuracy- including product returns and cancellations -resolving discrepancies as needed.
  • Initiate calls and emails to customers with past due balances.
  • Maintain current and accurate records of customer contact.
  • Review and organize large amounts of data for dunning projects.
  • Ensures successful submission of invoices in various eBilling systems used by PLI customers, monitoring all submissions, and resolving problems when necessary.
  • Correspond with outside collection agency to generate and maintain accurate claims for customer accounts.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly billing status and activity reports.
  • Collaborate with supervisor and department staff to meet departmental goals and deadlines.
  • Collaborate with Membership Services, Programs, Customer Service and Marketing departments to ensure accurate customer account information. Responds to changing departmental priorities and assists other staff members as needed.
  • Monitor customer order and payment activity for any fraudulent activity; alerts manager to concerns.
  • Perform other assigned tasks and duties necessary to support the Accounts Receivable team.
  • Other duties, as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • College degree or equivalent experience in Business or Accounting required.
  • 1-3 years' experience in an Accounts Receivable, Billing or Collections position.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Must be an enthusiastic team player and collaborator.
  • Proficiency with MS Excel.
  • Ability to work with limited supervision.

COMPENSATION RANGE FOR THIS POSITION

The anticipated salary range is $28 - $32 per hour based on a 35-hour work week, based on skill set and work experience.
