Job Location: Hybrid (Ewing, NJ/Home Office)

Our Global Procurement Team is seeking a driven and reliable Senior Buyer, whose action-oriented mindset will foster continued growth across Church & Dwight's twelve power brands.

This highly visible role, based at our Global Headquarters in Ewing, NJ, involves managing a portfolio and overseeing procurement finance activities for raw materials. The Senior Buyer will collaborate with the Procurement team to manage RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs, conduct category research, and lead all procurement finance activities, including price analysis and PPV review. This position reports to the Associate Director of Chemical Procurement.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and support sourcing activity and supply of materials used in the manufacturing of brands such as Arm & Hammer, VitaFusion, OxiClean, SPD (Specialty Products Division) and others
  • Lead project management efforts for strategic sourcing events and raw material supply implementation
  • Lead raw material sourcing and project meetings, including ownership of sourcing calendar
  • Own the sourcing calendar and lead raw material sourcing and project meetings.
  • Conduct raw material price management, including tracking and analysis.
  • Facilitate timely purchase price variance analysis with Operations Finance and Procurement teams.
  • Execute all stages of the strategic sourcing process: develop RFPs, negotiate with suppliers, conduct bid analysis, and make supplier recommendations.
  • Support supplier selection, focusing on assurance of supply, service, cost, quality, regulatory compliance, and responsible sourcing.
  • Drive strategic initiatives within assigned categories to maximize cost savings, supply assurance, and value creation.
  • Collaborate closely with key stakeholders to understand business needs and develop sourcing strategies that meet these objectives.
  • Develop specific category strategies, including market research, milestones, savings targets, resource requirements, and implementation plans.
  • Write and distribute complex and technical bid invitations or RFPs; analyze bids, quotes, and proposals, and award contracts.
  • Conduct routine supplier business reviews to evaluate performance and compliance.
  • Work with Corporate R&D and Marketing teams on product launches and transitions.
  • Negotiate payment term extensions to support the company's cash flow initiatives.
  • Ensure accurate and timely updates to SAP master data.

Competencies/Skills

  • Proven expertise in Procurement and/or Supply Chain, with a solid understanding of Procurement practices.
  • Financial acumen, with strong numerical skills required.
  • Excellent analytical, verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to prioritize independently and maintain a strong process focus

Qualifications/Experience

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field required
  • MBA or certifications like CPIM, CSCP, or CPM are a plus

Experience:

  • 3-5 years Procurement and/or Supply Chain

Proficiency:

  • ERP/P2P systems: SAP (preferred), Oracle
  • MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Power BI
