Videographer

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree with at least five years of experience as a broadcast news videographer and editor, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Expertise required in digital camera shooting, audio and lighting; Mac and PC computer skills, Photoshop, Motion, and After Effects.

Must have significant experience with Final Cut Pro.

Experience and knowledge of compression software required.

Experience with green screen and virtual background production, file management and content management software preferred.

Team player with strong interpersonal skills and creative eye is essential.

Must be well organized, detail oriented and able to meet tight deadlines.


Physical Demands:

The position works in both an office environment with computers and on-scene shooting video reports.

Must be able to transport and operate all equipment necessary for the shooting and editing of broadcast and Web video reports.

Gathering test samples for shoots required at times.

Set design, including arranging tables and chairs.

Must be able to move equipment for production or trouble-shooting purposes.


Responsibilities:

Execute all aspects of videotaping with digital cameras, including audio and set lighting to ensure video reports are produced efficiently and on time.

Edit broadcast and web video reports on Final Cut Pro.

Oversee post production, including video and audio corrections.

Maintain a detailed file-based workflow.

Prepare videos for distribution to various outlets.

Oversee inventory and maintenance of video and editing equipment.

Trouble shoot technical problems.

Train staff in use of digital cameras, Final Cut Pro editing and Final Cut Server.

Keep pace with technological changes in broadcast & web video production.
