Position Description

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Operation of the facility as it relates to safety, housekeeping, quality and production
  • Provide direction, counseling, coaching, and skill assessment of hourly Team Members
  • Drive safety initiatives and awareness in assigned areas
  • Insure compliance with policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Schedule the shift to maximize performance, managing overtime, vacation and absences
  • Conduct Team Member performance appraisals
  • Assist in troubleshooting and process improvement efforts, including facilitation of teams
  • Maintenance implementation in assigned areas (e.g. preventative maintenance, maintenance days and take advantage of unplanned downtime)

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required; Engineering degree preferred
  • Three plus years of experience in high-speed manufacturing equipment and systems
  • Two plus years Supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and team building skills
  • Excellent planning, organization, and problem solving skills
  • Background in maintenance and operations planning
  • Knowledge of Total Quality and process improvement
  • Shift work required
